A Tough Call

Another picture I shot of Maria. I always had this idea of a woman making this really tough call in a phone booth (there could be tears you know) and we just shot this in between the bus shots that we took (see My Ride Home). It’s quite nice as Malta still has a lot of those British styled phone booths. And yeah that one here is green, but I honestly didn’t play with the colors of that.
I wanted to go for a 60s-like look. Strong but somewhat false colors and some imperfections too. Guess it worked. I think it has something going for it and the dirty glass of the phone booth helps a bit too. Not masterful that one (a bit too soft for my taste too) but nice. I may prefer this version here but I’m not sure. So in order for you to make up your own mind I added a few different versions and another quite imperfect pic I called ‘Phone Booth Blues’ where I played with front focus but failed a bit (not much there to focus at). Tell me which one you like most.
And of course there is another major change on this website. Actually more than one. First I moved it to a new webhost (All-Inkl) and second I started to use a new template called Shaken Grid Premium. I think it is very, very neat for a photoblog but it looks a bit odd when it has to present my older posts. The pictures come along way nicer now though anything I write a bit less so. Possibly there will be some adjustments sooner or later. But yeah I really love the new look of “Alexfotografiert.de”. A really neat update, more of a photoblog now. Or does anyone think differently?
By the way, if you see more typos then usual then because my head is still spinning. A tonsilitis in a shitty summer, always fun. But hey I got Penicillin, druuuuuuuuuugs

sehr schön…werd mich mal umschaun. Bin grad zu geschafft um den Text zu lesen. Das Foto find ich ganz gut, mir gefällt ihr Gesichtsausdruck. Passt sehr gut.

Ja bin mit dem Design ganz zufrieden, dann guck dich mal um wenn du wieder vom Umziehen erholt bist.
Die ausgewählte Version ist sicherlich die beste. (Das unscharfe Zweitbild gibt mir gar nichts.)
Allerdings finde ich das Bild insgesamt nicht so stark. Um etwas zu erzählen, müßte vielleicht noch etwas mehr Spannung in der Komposition sein – z.B. viel leere Fläche irgendwo außerhalb der Telefonzelle, oder das Bild der Person noch durch etwas gebrochen (z.B. Gesicht nur halb sichtbar, weil hinter Telefonzellen-Bau versteckt). Ich finde leider auch sie nicht so ausdrucksstark, bis auf die Stirnfalte sieht ihre Körperhaltung und das Gesicht eigentlich sehr entspannt aus.
Jupp du hast recht, da fehlt noch was und technisch bin ich auch nicht ganz zufrieden. Ah, ich gehe die ganzen Bilder des Shootings mal neu an. Bisher hab ich die Dame wählen lassen, jetzt mach ich das mal und such was neues raus. Danke fürs Feedback.
